Kid Pix Studio is a creativity computer game which updates the look of the previous Kid Pix 2 version with new animation tools, including Moopies, Stampinator, and playing with the Digital Puppets.
Moopies is where the child draws a moving picture using the “wacky brush”. Stamps can also be placed in the Moopies section as well. 28 animated patterns and textures are used for the wacky brush tool. Stampinator allows the child to make stamps animate in a path, in which they loop back and forth, loop and jump back to the starting point, and play only once. However, It only limits to four stamps per picture. Digital Puppets allows the child to play with virtual marionettes, by touching random keys on the keyboard. There are many different puppets to choose from in the program.
Wacky TV and Slideshow, which both appeared in Kid Pix 2, is updated with new mixer effects and to allow playback of Moopies, Stampinator, and Digital Puppets creations that they have saved in the program, as well as other videos and drawings that were made in other programs.
In the drawing program itself, there are many drawing tools available such as pencils, fill buckets, erasers, a text tool for adding words, and rubber stamps with 1300 stamps in this version. 80 songs and sound effects are used in this version, varying from World to Celebrations and Rock through Everyday Life and Nature. The targeted age group is 3 to 12. Educational features include Colouring, Painting, Drawing, Animating, Collages, Writing, and making presentations for school use.
